Spring Foraging Workshop

This beginner-friendly workshop will get you started identifying some wild spring edibles and medicinal plants growing locally and give you ideas on how to enjoy them. Learn the basic do’s and don’t’s of foraging, the differences between native and invasive plant species, and gain some hands on experience foraging and using wild spring plants. No experience necessary! This spring workshop will begin with a foraging walk on the Deckers Creek Trail: Reedsville Trailhead and around Arthurdale Center Hall. We will hold the foraging walk rain or shine.

NOTICE! This class will begin at the Deckers Creek Trail: Reedsville Trailhead (located just a mile from Arthurdale Heritage at S Robert Stone Way, Reedsville, WV 26547 near Superior Fibers). Please meet in the trailhead parking lot at 12pm on the day of the class. The foraging walk will happen rain or shine, so dress appropriately. After the foraging walk, the rest of the class will be held at Arthurdale Heritage at 18 Q Rd. Arthurdale, WV 26520.
