Join craftsman Josh Waugh on April 27 from 1-6pm to learn how to do traditional split reed caning! Split reed seats have been around for centuries, and craftsmen in Arthurdale even made split reed caned seats in the 1930s and 1940s! For the class, all materials (including a 9×12″ wooden stool and all caning material) will be provided. We only ask that you bring a flathead screwdriver and hammer with you. Beginners and those aged 16+ are welcome. Registration is limited to 6 people, so sign up now! The cost is $135 for AHI members or $150 for nonmembers.
