Don’t forget, you can get guided tours of the Arthurdale Museum, Forge, Service Station and E-15 Homestead every Tuesday-Sunday from Noon-3:00 pm. We also have maps available for a self-guided driving tour of Arthurdale.Â The maps are available 24 hours a day at the Visitors Center.
Arthurdale Heritage, Inc. is pleased to announce that blacksmith Roger Greaser will be demonstrating at the Arthurdale Forge the second Saturday of each month from May through October during regular museum hours (noon-4 p.m.).Â All are welcome to visit the New Deal Homestead Museum to see this three-generation blacksmith work, ask him questions, and learn about the blacksmith cottage industry present in Arthurdale in the 1930s.

The popular blacksmithing classes sponsored by Arthurdale Heritage are available each Saturday in March, 9 a.m. â€“ noon.Â Class projects include an iron leaf pendant necklace, heart flower pot holder, triangle chuck wagon bell, hinges, latches or hooks to be made during any of the sessions at Metal Creations on Route 7 west of Kingwood in Preston County. Join AHI for weekley beginning blacksmithing workshops in January!Â All workshops will take place at the Metal Creations workshop on Route 7 in Kingwood on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.Â Dates available are January 10, 17, 24, and 31.Â Choose from a leaf pendant necklace, triangle Chuck Wagon dinner bell, wall mount heart flower pot holder, hinges, latches, key rings, and hooks.Â Each project is $50.Â All participants must be at least 18 years old and provide cotton clothing, safety glasses, gloves (leather is preferred), and hearing protection (optional).Â Please complete the Blacksmith Registration form and return by December 31.Â For more information contact AHI at 304.864.3959 or email@example.com.
