We’re getting ready for an exciting summer this year with lots of programs for all ages!  There’s a little bit of everything, and we hope to provide an exciting summer for local families!

Art Classes

We will be restarting our children’s art classes with two classes every Friday through August (Fall schedule to be announced later).  The Little Artists Class for ages 3-6 will be at 11 am, and the Art Explorers Class for ages 7+ will be at 2 pm.  Admission for either class is $5/child. 

Last year, Mrs. Vesta Weaver and her daughter Sue Ann established the Manford Weaver Educational Fund in memory of their husband and father. The fund pays for most materials and will provide financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford to participate in the classes.  Without their gift, community art classes such as this one would not be possible. 

Reading Contest

Our reading contest is also back for 2022!  There will be three categories divided by age, and participation will be measured by hours spent reading.  Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, and winners will receive a book and small prize. Download your reading log here!

Try This! Tuesdays

Learn something new in Arthurdale! We’re excited to offer a series of educational events where you can learn a new skill. Each Try This! will be $5 per person, and they are recommended for ages 8-14. The classes will be:
– Weaving (June 14)
– Cooking (June 28)
– Creative Writing (July 12)
– Dyeing Fabric (August 9)
– STEM with Friends of Deckers Creek (July 26 & August 23) 

Family Movie Nights

Bring your family and friends for an evening full of fun! Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets. All movies are free to attend! Concessions will be on sale at the event.June 3-Toy Story @ 8 pm
