Creative Writing Class

This class will meet from 5-8 pm on Thursday, September 22-Thursday October 13. Meetings will be dedicated to craft discussions, generative readings and activities, and the sharing of work (optional to the participant). The goal of this month-long class is to create a supportive and welcoming writing group where adult writers of all experience levels can meet, learn, and create together.

This class is for ages 16 and up.

Please note that you will pay for all four classes at the ticket link below. The event is only listed here once but the classes will be September 22, September 29, October 6, and October 13. You will attend all four classes and cannot join partway through the session.

Instructor Bio:

Natalie Sypolt is the author of The Sound of Holding Your Breath (2018, West Virginia University Press) and her work has appeared in Glimmer TrainAppalachian Review (formerly Appalachian Heritage), Still: The Journalr.kv.r.y., Superstition ReviewPasteWillow Springs Review, and The Kenyon Review Online, among other fine journals. Additionally, Natalie is co-editor of Change Seven Magazine and is a past president of the Appalachian Studies Association. Natalie works as an Associate Professor of English at Pierpont Community & Technical College. 

Tuition for this four-week class is $125 or $110 for AHI Members.
