Hello gallopers!

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have decided not to hold our Goat Gallop 5k in the traditional manner. This year, you’ll be able to walk/run the course in Arthurdale OR from your hometown! Participants will have from May 20 – June 20 to complete the race in one of two ways.

If you want to participate in the virtual 5k, simply register through our Run Signup page and complete the course from any location. Participants in the virtual race can still competitively upload their times.

Your second option is completing the 5k in Arthurdale with an interactive course map powered by the app RaceJoy. To do so, register through Run Signup, download the RaceJoy app, and search for “Arthurdale Heritage Goat Gallop.” As you run through Arthurdale’s charming historic district, you will learn about some of the unique aspects of our community through audio snippets. While the goats won’t be running with you this year, the course runs past them and we encourage you to say hello!

*COVID 19 policy: Your safety is important to us. Participants have an entire month to run the course, so we ask that if you encounter another runner please practice safe social distancing. The courses run through the neighborhoods of Arthurdale, but please be aware of any vehicles or potholes. Stay safe and have fun!
