Windows Workshop is Now Free!

In celebration of Historic Preservation Month, Arthurdale Heritage, Inc. is pleased to offer a two-day historic windows weatherization demonstration project this Friday and Saturday at the E-15 Homestead in Arthurdale.

Participants will see a window restoration PowerPoint presentation on the National Park Services’ best practices describing Class I, II, and III methods of historic windows restoration followed by a windows steam chest demonstration showing the basic steps to rehab a wooden window by preservation historian, Lynn Stasick. Window preservation expert Phil Davis of Allegheny Restoration will conduct a windows weatherization demonstration, providing participants hands-on experience in weatherizing wooden windows.

The workshop will be held on June 1 and June 2 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Participants can attend one or both days.

This windows weatherization workshop is made possible through collaboration with Preservation Alliance of West Virginia.
