Visit to Scott’s Run Museum

Arthurdale Heritage staff and volunteers made a trip to the Scott’s Run Museum yesterday. We met with museum volunteers and community members to hear their stories and create a bond between our organizations. Scott’s Run and Arthurdale are inextricably linked – many Arthurdale families have roots in Scott’s Run. It was her visits with families in Scott’s Run that inspired Eleanor Roosevelt to create a homestead community.

Thank you to the Scott’s Run Museum volunteers for welcoming us to your community space! The Museum is open on Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM or by appointment.

The Museum’s website is here: http://scottsrunmuseumandtrail.org/

We also visited The Shack, a long-standing community center, and the Settlement House mission.
