New Exhibit “Factories in the Fields”

Our new exhibition “Factories in the Fields: an Experiment in Agriculture and Rural Industry” is officially open! Thank you to all of those who braved the rainy weather on Saturday and joined us for our grand opening and ribbon-cutting event. And a special thank-you to our generous donors as well as the West Virginia Humanities Council for their financial support.

We will be offering tours of “Factories in the Fields” for a limited time through July 11. All Arthurdale Heritage members and Preston County residents are invited to visit the exhibition FREE of charge as a special gift to our community. For all others, the cost is $5 for adults (age 18+) and free for children (age 0-17). The exhibition will also be included in our regular guided tour, which is offered four times a day, Monday-Saturday at 10am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, and 2:30pm. Visit our website at https://arthurdaleheritage.org/tours/ for more information and to book a tour.

This project is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
