Step back in time at the New Deal Festival on Saturday July 9 to celebrate the unique history of Arthurdale with a day of food, arts & crafts, living history, and more. Tour the historic community on a hay wagon ride, stop by the antique car and tractor show, and see artisan demonstrations. The gates will open at 10am.
There will be a wonderful line up of blues, country, and folk music that will be playing on the Center Hall front porch. You can also wander through the museum buildings to learn more about the history of Arthurdale, and of course the celebration wouldn’t be complete without a visit from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt!
The festival also features a petting zoo, several children’s activities, a crafts market, horse-drawn wagon rides, and much more!
Like previous years, we’ll be giving you the option to buy advance tickets – link coming soon! Advance tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 6-11. At the gate, general admission is $8 and children ages 6-11 are $5. Children under 5 get in for free.
Remember, volunteers attend the festival for FREE! Contact the office if you are interested in volunteering to setup, to work a shift at the event, or to cleanup. We can be reached at 304 864 3959 or by e-mail at ahi@arthurdaleheritage.org.
