Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) is an after-school program designed to teach grades 4-8 to play traditional Appalachian music together. Arthurdale Heritage will be offering classes in both fiddle and guitar (with loaner instruments available) and enrichment sessions with guest artists. Instruction at Arthurdale Heritage is on Mondays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm, from February 24 through May 23.
Full tuition is $210/semester ($15/week) from February 24 through May 23. The full semester tuition is requested up front. If you are unable to pay the full amount up front, please contact us and we will work with you on a payment plan. We strive to make JAM accessible to all students, no matter their family’s income threshold. We have a limited number of partial and full JAM scholarships available that will be awarded based on demonstration of need and availability.
To ensure quality classroom dynamics, JAM is limiting class sizes to a maximum of 8 students per class. If classes are full, your student will be added to a waitlist.
