Handwoven scarves by Wenweave made from silk and rayon blend. A Wenweave scarf is a one-of-a-kind creation. All of the yarn is hand dyed and then each scarf is woven on a floor loom to become a unique creation. The fibers are varied from rayon cotton to silk, tencel and sometimes merino. Traditional, heirloom techniques are used with a contemporary twist as each piece takes on a personality of its own. Scarves are approximately 8″ x 68″.
About the artist: The love of fibers was instilled in artisan Wendy Clark from her mother and grandmother. After serving as an art educator and professor for thirty years, Wendy followed her dream of hand-painting yarns to create beautiful textiles that become heirloom pieces and an extension of a family tradition.
