Description

Join us at our historic Center Hall on Sunday May 5th to learn how to create a beautiful and versatile woven bucket. The class is taught by Pat Mercer, member of the Mound Weavers Guild and the WV Basket Makers Association. This project is perfect for beginners and non-beginners alike. No shaping is required, since weaving is done over the bucket. Participants will be able to choose the accent reed from a variety of colors. It makes great Mother’s Day gift and it’s good for potted plants, kitchen utensils, guest towels etc.


Weavers will learn several techniques: Inserting spokes into a wooden base, Twining, Continuous over/under weaving, Triple rod wale with a step up, Continuous Twilling

*Woven over a 60 oz. galvanized steel bucket: 6” high; 6” diameter; 20” circumference. *$25 for members, $28 for nonmembers *ALL material included *Min. of 10 students, max of 15
