After school STEM Event with Friends of Deckers Creek

Deckers Creek is a scenic watershed that flows through Preston and Monongalia counties. Unfortunately, years of various pollutants like acid mine drainage (AMD) and sewage overflows have heavily degraded segments of the creek. Friends of Deckers Creek works to sustainably manage and clean the watershed through remediation projects, community outreach, and environmental education.  FODC routinely collects field data to track how effective their remediation projects are working, and they rely on sound scientific data from both staff and volunteer scientists. &hellip read more

We will be showing the documentary The 'CC Boys, created by Robert Whetsell who will be in attendance and guide a discussion related to the film, which is about half an hour.
