Veteran Memorial Plaques Made by Homesteader Descendant Terry Day
In honor of Veteran’s Day, homesteader descendant Terry Day has graciously handcrafted these memorial plaques of veterans buried in the Arthurdale Cemetery. These beautiful pieces commemorate those who fought for our freedom. Local residents Jennifer Bonnette Funk and Lorraine Weaver volunteered their time to take the photos for Terry to work from, and we are so thankful for their efforts!
Posted below are the names of the plaques already made. Only one was made for each individual, but more can be requested as Terry has generously offered to make any additional or specialized plaques. Those additional or specialized plaques can be purchased from the Craft Shop at a suggested donation of $20, which includes all shipping costs. Local family members can pick up their relative’s plaque from the Arthurdale Craft Shop. Hours are Mon-Friday 10-4. Open Saturday’s between Nov. 30-Dec.20 from 11-3. If you do not live locally, please email us and we can arrange shipping if you’d like. The dimensions of the plaque are about 3×2 inches.
NOTE: AHI will be closed Nov. 25-29.
