An apple never falls far from the tree

And that’s exactly what we’re in search of! Calling all Arthurdale residents–of today and back when:

Do you know of old apple trees in Arthurdale? A volunteer has approached us about grafting the old varieties to save their history for future generations to enjoy. Were there apple trees on your homestead, a friend’s, or a neighbor’s? Is there an old apple tree on your property today? Let us know! We would love to save these old trees and local flavors.

If you know of apple trees in Arthurdale, have some on your property, or have a fond memory of apples in the community, please let us know. Email us at ahi@arthurdaleheritage.org or give us a call at the office–304-864-3959–we’d love to hear about it.
